As a natural part of mira's development, we are constantly moving towards optimizing processes and packaging, as well as being ahead of the latest trends and environmental efforts available on the market. Therefore, we have also introduced packaging made from recycled plastic on some of our most popular products.

When you choose the 4400 multicoat wet room membrane, you help as a consumer to achieve less environmental impact, as the packaging is made of plastic based on industrial waste. This also applies to the inner bucket of our 4630 aqua-flex 2K membrane. Our x-plan, 6700 cemplan, and 6998 betomix quick fillers are also delivered in packaging made from recycled plastic. Our wet room cuffs now come in FSC-labeled cardboard packaging. FSC is the world's most ambitious global certification for responsible forestry and your guarantee for wood and paper from well-managed forests and other responsible sources.

mira and the working environment

Our packaging is generally designed with the intention of sparing the craftsman as much as possible and creating a healthier working environment.

Therefore, we have moved away from the heavy 25 kg sacks, and our products are typically sold in 5, 15, and 20 kg bags, i.e., different sizes adapted to the scope of the task, depending on the project size.

Our paper bags are even equipped with a strong handle, so even a construction project on the 3rd floor feels more manageable when the building materials have to be carried up.

Low Dust

Look for the "Low Dust" label when choosing our products for casting, plastering, and tile adhesion. Our products are developed so you experience less dust nuisance, easier cleaning, and easier processing and distribution - in short, a better working environment.

Allergy

Remember that many of our products are based on cement without detectable chromium content, which gives a much lower risk of eczema and allergies.

mira and the certifications

Product labeling

At mira, we focus on labeling and declaring our products so our customers can be sure of what the products contain.

Our website is always updated with the latest safety data sheets and product data sheets. Many of our products are registered in the Nordic Ecolabelling Portal, which is a database for building products that can be used in Swan-labeled construction. For more information about the use of mira products in Swan-labeled construction, contact mira.

Test for VOC:

At mira, we also focus on indoor climate in buildings and have therefore chosen to test many of our products for VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). As a result of these tests, the products are certified with the German EmiCode label and the Finnish M1 label, which are two labeling schemes for low VOC content.

What is VOC:

Most scents and odors are caused by VOCs, which are volatile organic compounds that can be harmful to our health and the environment. Building materials and surface treatments, among many other things, are some of the contributors that emit VOCs. The emission of these substances is higher when temperature and humidity increase; however, levels usually drop within a few months.

maerkninger low dust

Low dust is dust-reduced products that cause less dust nuisance during mixing and handling, thereby creating a better working environment.

maerkninger c2te s1

maerkninger recycled

The recycling symbol indicates the percentage of recycled materials used in both the packaging and the product.
